As part of the expanded launch program for the Harvard GSD Grounded Visionaries capital campaign, the exhibition showcases exemplary work from faculty and students to illustrate critical themes of contemporary design. Placement of work within the exhibition reveals that these critical design themes do not fall into discrete categories. By conceptualizing each theme as a series of overlapping circles, exhibited work spatially "carves" into the floor and ceiling planes of the gallery space. What remains are curved wall panels that present work in various degrees of immersiveness. Panels were fabricated from polypropylene, which are backlit to animate overlaid vinyl graphics.
