H+Y Senior Architect (10+ years)
Höweler + Yoon is a Boston-based architectural design firm of 20+ employees committed to transformational impact in the built environment and design excellence across multiple scales. Founded and led by Partners Eric Höweler and J. Meejin Yoon, the studio has built a reputation for work that is research-driven, socially engaged, and formally innovative. We are looking for a talented, motivated, and responsible Senior Architect(s) with 10+ years of experience for our office in Boston, MA.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree and 10+ years of qualified experience
- Experience as a project manager in leading small- to large-scale buildings working on all phases of a single project is preferred
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage deadlines, and ability to be flexible
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and management skills with clients, consultants, H+Y leadership, and the design team
- Lead the development of design in compliance with projects’ objectives, budget, and schedule as well as building codes and other regulatory requirements
- Excellent design and graphic skills, with the ability to participate in the conceptualization and design of complex projects from pre-design through construction documents phases
- Providing technical guidance and innovative technical solutions to complex design challenges
- Significant experience with the later phases including construction documentation and administration
- Proficiency with Revit, Rhino, Adobe Suite and AutoCAD preferred
- Strong work ethics, being proactive, flexible, and self motivation is essential
- A willingness to train and mentor team members as well as engage in professional development for the office as a whole
