Design Stratgist
Höweler + Yoon is a Boston-based architectural design firm of 20+ employees committed to transformational impact in the built environment and design excellence across multiple scales. Founded and led by Partners Eric Höweler and J. Meejin Yoon, the studio has built a reputation for work that is research-driven, socially engaged, and formally innovative. We are looking for a talented, motivated, and responsible Design Strategist for our office in Boston, MA.
Qualifications:
Strong conceptual thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to translate complex analyses into clear, compelling narratives across various formats.
Client-facing role requiring strong relationship-building skills and a genuine interest in understanding client businesses, cultures, and goals.
Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to identify and communicate meaningful insights.
Team player who contributes to business and client development efforts, leveraging interdisciplinary thinking and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office; Background in data analytics or in workplace design a plus.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate on preparation of workplace strategy, research, and data synthesization for both presentation and document production
Work closely with clients to adapt to changing needs of client; attend meetings and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and vendors as delegated
Prepare conceptual design sketches, develop concept statements and presentation
Meet strategic, functional, spatial & aesthetic needs of clients concerning real estate strategy, construction procedures, code, material requirements
Perform job duty as assigned including feasibility studies and program evaluation
