The office massing unites two stepped volumes through a series of diagonal cuts, creating an effect that the two volumes are leaning against one another. Each diagonal cut marks a major entry point. The western edge guides visitors from the highway to the base of a dramatic cantilever at water level. The at the eastern edge widens the street level entrance while maximizing floor area for the office levels above. A long, vertical cut responds directly to the adjacent residential tower, framing a grand stair entrance between the two massings. The fold of each panel on the façade casts shadow patterns throughout the day, becoming a calm yet dynamic backdrop for the waterfront’s commercial area.
