44 Soldiers Field Place takes full advantage of its prominent position along the Charles River, offering corner, river views for over seventy five percent of the residential units.

The distinctive massing steps in plan towards the river, producing outside corners and balconies at each unit bay down the long elevations. The “prow” of the building facing the river is thickened to contain generous unit balconies. The tapering massing facilitates outdoor amenity spaces on each side of the building, including a public path that connects residents to the network of walkways along the river. These outdoor areas also serve to buffer the project from future development on adjacent parcels. In addition to an outdoor amenity deck, the roof of the project contains a solar PV array and the project is investigating a path towards Passive House certification.
